These health monitoring systems eventually enable condition-based maintenance rather than time-based maintenance. It also eliminates the need for disassembly of the aircraft components for damage evaluation, as required for most conventional damage inspection technology. This is the primary factor that drives the growth of the aircraft avionics market and has gained prevalence in the recent times, with technological developments and growing initiatives from industry bodies such as the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Increasing expenditure on aerospace IOT services and technological advancements for workflow optimization further drives the growth of the market.
