Cleveland, OH, November 1, 2010 - The Council of Smaller Enterprises (COSE) presented a 10 under 10 Award to OPT Solutions, Inc. during the annual COSE Small Business Conference held October 20, 2010. COSE’s 10 under 10 Award recognizes the top 10 companies in Northeast Ohio that exhibit best practices in innovation, growth, value to the community, environment, diversity and customer service. OPT (Optimizing Process and Technology) Solutions, Inc., established in 2008 by Laura Pettit Rusick in Sagamore Hills, Ohio, provides strategic information technology consulting for small and mid-sized firms with their unique Retained Chief Information Officer (CIO) service.

Ms. Rusick, OPT Solutions’ president commented “As a new entrepreneur we’re thrilled to receive this recognition in just our third year in business. Ms. Rusick, a Certified Project Management Professional and 25 year veteran of the information technology industry managed multiple IT departments prior to establishing her firm. Ms. Rusick has a BS in Computer Science from Cleveland State University and a MBA from Case Western Reserve University. She serves on the Advisory Board for Kent State University's Center of Entrepreneurship, is a board member of the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the Society for Information Management and leads the Technology Task Force for the Cuyahoga Valley National Park Association. Ms. Rusick has co-chaired the CIO Forum for the Northeast Ohio Society for Information Management and has appeared as a guest lecturer at Kent State University and Cuyahoga Valley Career Center’s ‘IT’s for Girls,’ where high school juniors learn about careers in IT.
