Luxury Portfolio Creates 3-D Property Tours of Fine Homes

CHICAGO (October 25, 2010) – Luxury Portfolio Fine Property Collection® announced the creation of the first automated 3-D tours of its luxury home listings. These tours are available on its award-winning website, www.LuxuryPortfolio.com, in a new section called LP3-D. The program was developed using technology licensed from GeoData Technologies and is the first application to integrate high resolution aerial imagery and property photos, 3-D terrain and local data into a multimedia, 3-D tour experience.

“Luxury Portfolio is pleased to be the first international marketing program to deliver the newest technology to enhance the consumer experience in the affluent home search process,” said Stephanie Pfeffer, vice president of marketing for Luxury Portfolio. “Our LuxeTours™ give consumers a terrific sense of the interior of a property, and now LP3-D provides unparalleled tours of the neighborhood and surrounding area. LP3-D allows buyers to better understand the features of a property’s location by recreating the views, whether from a mountain resort property or the beach of a waterfront property. It’s never been easier to visualize and analyze properties around the globe.”

“LP3-D property tours dramatically enhance the search experience with valuable information about each property and its location,” explains Mark Williams, president of GeoData Technologies. “Traditional mapping applications pinpoint a single property onto the street without necessarily identifying the actual home that is for sale. LP3-D uses parcel precision geo coding to accurately identify the listing and proprietary flight algorithms to virtually fly around each property and from one to the next in 3-D as if you were in a helicopter.”
