One of the more beautiful properties to join Mackays is in Grandtully in Perthshire. Situated in a peaceful village location, this substantial old schoolhouse has been totally renovated to provide every modern convenience, whilst retaining the original character and atmosphere. Rooms are tastefully decorated and attractively furnished, the spacious, bright living room has an open fire to add to the ambience and the dining room has garden doors for drinks on the patio or al-fresco dining.

Rather more quirky is this one bedroom period cottage for two in the conveniently located Dunblane. Hidden away in a conservation area of this historic little cathedral town this traditional Scottish cottage was originally for the railwaymen, sits on a private path leading from the station square to the River Allan. Steps lead down through the garden to a delightful, secluded deck overlooking the water and another seating area enjoys the morning sun.
