50% energy savings with the new industrial PCs from Systec & Services

Karlsruhe, October 21st, 2010 – Systec & Services GmbH from Karlsruhe (Germany) presents at SPS/IPC/DRIVES 2010 brand new Industrial PC generation which was developed according to the Greeen IT principles. This means 50 percent less energy consumption compared to conventional systems.

Within the next 20 to 30 years it will be decided if we are able to manage the challenges of the climate change and the shortage of resources. IT technologies in all areas of our life stress the climate by their enormous energy consumption. Thereby Green IT is an important initiative to reach the national and international goals for a better climate.

Systec & Services follows with all new it systems and platform the ideas of Green IT.

Green IT is the ambition to arrange the usage of IT across the entire product-life-cycle – starting with the design of the systems their production, utilization and removal or the recycling of the component – according to environment and resources saving goals.

The new WAVE systems of Systec & Services GmbH are developed for developed especially for long-term use in extreme production environments. Despite their high performance level, many of these systems are completely enclosed – in accordance with protection class IP 65. The modular casing-concept provides highest flexibility of selecting CPUs our other equipment like keyboards or battery packs for mobile movements.

The WAVE series provides displays from 15 to 42 inches. The reduction of weight, size and power consumption by more than 50 percent compared with similar product enables huge energy and cost savings. The LCD displays with LED-backlight-technology are almost completely recyclable.

The optional battery pack allows an autarkic and mobile operation for more than 24 hours. The displays prepared with 16:9-format with Full HD resolution, latest touch-screen technology as well as VoIP possibilities bring the multimedia-based future to the shopfloor.
