Ashworth Law Merger Is “Wedded Bliss”
Two Harrogate law firms have merged and – unlike the relationships of the clients it will be representing – is wedded bliss!Thanks to its pairing with Beck Solicitors, Ashworth Law has expanded its portfolio to include family law as one of its key services.
Ashworth Law, which was launched last year by co-founder Mathew Cobley, is one of the country’s fastest growing law companies.
Initially specialising in pursuing mis-sold payment protection insurance, credit card charges and investigating mortgage misdemeanours, it is now handling instructions from 4,000 new clients a month and has recovered in excess of £18 million for clients.
Mr Cobley said: “Family Law was a key area we identified for our expansion plans. Instead of setting up a department we decided to join forces with a well-experienced and well- respected law firm already operating in this field.
“We had been working closely with Beck Solicitors, headed by Angela Beck, for a while and this merger was a natural progression of our relationship.
“Angela, who brings a wealth of experience with her, now leads the team working from our rapidly expanding Harrogate head office.”
Angela Beck said: “Sadly, divorce is a harsh reality for many couples. When a marriage goes wrong more often than not each party requires the advice of a solicitor.
“The merger with Ashworth Law is a relationship that will last and I’m delighted to be working with Mathew as part of the Ashworth team.”
Ashworth Law recently opened an office in Manchester and employees in excess of 40 people.
