Courier Advisory Group Names Datex as Technology Hardware

When Courier Advisory Group (CAG) decided to convert from a paper based system to the latest technology, executives selected Datex Corporation. “Moving to a digital system can be both empowering and a little scary” explained Kim Ganoe, Datex Senior Hardware Solutions Consultant. “Many courier businesses have done business using clipboards and spreadsheets and are slow to change. Today’s handheld devices make signature capture and GPS tracking easy and reliable so that customers can view delivery details and be reassured.”
Datex is a “one stop shop” for courier businesses, offering such value added services as carrier SIM card activation and loading into the proper device, barcode symbology testing and setup, load and deployment of courier specific software. This enables courier businesses to focus on speedy, accurate deliveries and not technology challenges. With more than 30 years of successful operation in the hardware sector, Datex is experienced in providing hardware to meet specific business needs.
From its headquarters in Tampa, FL, CAG operates 34 fully equipped warehouses in locations throughout the Midwest and Eastern United States. With services to such market segments as pharmaceuticals, medical, film processing, government, food, retail and general office distribution services, CAG needed technology to help advance its growing business.
Datex implemented several hundred handheld devices successfully, enabling CAG to track and complete time critical deliveries, resulting in high client satisfaction. CAG takes pride in working in concert with clients to act as an extension of the internal operation. “With Datex, we have new tools to improve our client satisfaction even further and generate new business” stated CAG CEO Phil DeSilva, an award winning transportation and logistics professional for more than 20 years. “We are thrilled with the performance of the devices and with the support and service that we receive from the Datex team. We are especially pleased with the responsiveness of Kim Ganoe with her level of commitment, day or night. Based upon the service we have received from Datex thus far, CAG is considering turning over additional responsibility to the Datex team to allow their full support of our scanning maintenance systems.”
