Riverside Methodist Hospital Adopts Simplifi 797 for Cleanroom Tasks 

Software helped facility record 100% compliance for environmental documentation

Bellevue, WA – Pharmacy OneSource, Inc., software as a service provider to more than 1,300 hospitals in the United States, announced today that Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, OH, has adopted Simplifi 797 quality assurance software to achieve sterile compounding compliance.

Simplifi 797 is a web-based application that automates, integrates and streamlines quality activities and documentation related to USP 797 guidelines. Simplifi 797 manages task scheduling for environmental monitoring and automates the reporting of exceptions and compliance.

"Simplifi 797 has introduced an automated solution for various manual processes. In the first month of use, we recorded 100% compliance with all environmental task documentation," said Michele Holley, Manager of Pharmacy Operations at Riverside Methodist Hospital. "Our next step is to utilize the system for documentation and completion of associate competencies, both for cleanroom activities and for new associate training."

Simplifi 797 can help simplify meeting all of the requirements of the U.S. Pharmacopeia's Chapter 797 best practice guidelines for compounding sites throughout the facility.

"Ultimately, we will eliminate the need for paper in our IV cleanroom by automating our batching process and documentation through Simplifi 797," said Holley. "The transition has been beneficial for both the staff and management in our department."
