This is the 16th time that Deloitte has awarded the "Technology Fast 50 Award" to the 50 fastest growing technology companies based in Germany. Growth is measured by the average percentage of increase in sales over the last four financial years (2014 to 2017). In addition, the sales revenue is required to be at least 50 thousand Euros in 2014, and at least 1 million Euros in 2017.

A couple of years ago, companies like Google and Tesla were also awarded by Deloitte. They select high-growth companies backed by pioneering technologies and ambitious founders.
