Press release from: FDM Group

International IT Services Provider, FDM Group, launches a Project Management and Business Analysis service under the banner of PMO, following the successful recruitment of 95 graduates onto its Project Analyst training stream.

FDM established its Project Analyst stream in March 2010 to deal with an increase in client demand for better project management methodologies. According to the Standish Group Chaos Report 90% of projects in the workforce meet neither the time, cost nor quality of its set targets. Project Management involves the planning, management and execution of various technical endeavours, in order to meet the client’s exact needs.

FDM Consultants are trained to industry standards through to certification. The Project Analyst programme offers extensive training in: project management tools and techniques, PRINCE 2, programme and project support office essentials, business analysis, as well as SQL, data manipulation and presentation using MS Excel, and Macro development using VBA.

Of the 95 graduates specialising in PMO, 31 are currently training to become Project Analysts at the FDM Academy, 17 are awaiting commercial placements with clients, and 47 are already working onsite with some of the world’s biggest financial and media companies, including HSBC, RBS, UBS, Misys and Deutsche Bank.

Jon Taplin, Head of PMO for FDM Group comments: ‘The PMO course creates a Project Analyst where graduates can then be utilised as either Junior Project Managers, Project Support Officers or Junior Business Analysts. Because of the comprehensive content within the programme, FDM Academy provides a level of diversity for graduates, which ultimately widens their career avenues and progressions. From a client perspective, efficiencies in utilisation can be achieved through the engagement of multi-disciplined resources’.

FDM Group is an international IT Services Provider specialising in six core service areas: Project Management Office, Application Support, Development, Testing, Infrastructure and Training.
