Yelapa Playa Mexicana Debuts Sunday Funday Brunch, New Hours

“For those who worship at the Church of the NFL, we’ve got ya covered with football, ice cold beer and great grub...tacos, sopes, quesadillas, chicken wings and more,” says Wiley, one of the city’s best chefs. And to wash it all down: Ghost Pepper Marias, Prickly Pear Mimosas and $10 buckets of beer.
No matter what tequila-soaked excess you indulge in the night before, a solid plate of Wiley’s Huevos Ahogados Verdes – two sunny-side eggs, homemade tomatillo salsa, pork belly carnitas, kimchee fried rice and refried pinto beans – will cure whatever ails you. Additionally, the chef will be unveiling gems like Migas Frito Pie (Frito pie kicked up a notch with homemade pulled-pork chili and four cheese eggs) and Beefy Benedict (homemade sopes topped with smoky slow-roasted brisket). “Don’t think of it as just brunch, we’ll also be serving our full menu. Think of it as fun in the sun, sunshining it on the patio,” says Wiley.
Yelapa Sunday Fun Day kicks off at 11 am weekly and continues ‘til 8 pm. The restaurant is closed for business on Mondays.
