Press release from: FirstLight HomeCare

(Cincinnati, OH)---FirstLight HomeCare, a provider of professional, non-medical, live-in and hourly care services to seniors and others who need assistance, is pleased to announce the addition of Gina Kaurich to its corporate team as executive director of client care services.
Kaurich, a registered nurse, professional geriatric manager and certified master coach and trainer in the healthcare industry, brings more than 35 years of experience to her new position with FirstLight. Since her early days as a candy striper in junior high, Kaurich has dedicated her career to helping those in need, progressing to such positions as clinical administrator for a hospital system, director of nursing in a continuing care community and vice president of clinical operations in home care. Kaurich also gives back to her community through her volunteer efforts as a certified paramedic for her local life squad and has extensive experience in adult education, regulation, compliance, quality assurance, marketing, sales and healthcare computerization.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome Gina to our team,” said president and CEO Jeff Bevis. “Her unparalleled expertise in all areas of the healthcare field and passion for helping those in need will undoubtedly help us make a difference in the lives of the seniors, families and local communities we serve.”
In her new position, Kaurich will be responsible for the development and implementation of new initiatives related to client care. Drawing heavily from her experience, she plans to build programs for seniors --- including restorative exercise courses and classes to assist individuals suffering from dementia and first and second stage Alzheimer’s --- to keep them healthy and well.
FirstLight --- which launched its franchise program in March 2010 --- is creating a new standard in non-medical home care by combining the best practices gained by a dynamic senior leadership team with proven industry success and several new, exciting approaches. This makes FirstLight an emerging market leader in a fast-growing industry. Since March, the company has grown to eight franchisees spanning a total of 14 locations and six states, including Florida, Michigan, Ohio, Georgia, Nebraska and Illinois. It plans to award an additional 24 locations in 2011 and 36 in 2012, totaling 74 franchises awarded and/or developed within three years.
“FirstLight’s philosophy of providing quality care with a strong emphasis on client satisfaction aligns perfectly with my own values and beliefs,” said Kaurich. “As the aging population continues to rapidly expand, FirstLight will be there to offer continued support and provide excellent care to the elderly and those who need our services.”
FirstLight is the only franchised non-medical home care provider that rewards accelerated growth with a bonus program and provides complete accounting services for back-office functions at an affordable monthly cost, affording franchisees more time to grow their business.
