IQNOMY introduces platfrom for Liquid Internet
During the round table session The Next Wave, IQNOMY presented the world’s first self-learning platform for Liquid Internet. It was introduced in great style at the site of the former Westergasfabriek in Amsterdam during PICNIC 2010 – the annual event for innovation, technology and creativity. The round table session was chaired by Marco Derksen, founder of Marketingfacts, the successful platform for interactive marketing. Around the table were: Erwin Blom (The Crowds), Geert-Jan Smits (Jungle Minds), René Jansen (Winkwaves), Yme Bosma (Hyves), Yuri van Geest (THNK), Erwin Sigterman (Frankwatching), Iskander Smit (Info.nl), Ruben Timmerman (Eduhub) and Rob Boeyink (IQNOMY).
A website that adapts to each unique, anonymous visitor
IQNOMY’s Liquid Internet is a platform which allows every organization to tailor its website entirely to the needs and characteristics of each unique, anonymous visitor. The system records and maintains a multidimensional profile for each visitor anonymously. A profile such as this may consist, for example, of areas of interest, persona types, conversion stages, format preferences, etc. The fact that IQNOMY’s system gets to know each individual visitor personally means that it knows precisely what information is the most relevant, in what form and at what moment. And because website visitors are continuously confronted with the most relevant information, their perception of the website and the website’s conversion rate will improve considerably.
IQNOMY’s Liquid Internet has been developed on the basis of many years of research in the area of state-of-the-art technologies, such as: artificial intelligence, machine learning, behavior prediction models, classification algorithms, semantics and clustering.
Liquid Containers
IQNOMY’s system determines in real time what information is important to which visitor. This information is subsequently presented on the website in so-called Liquid Containers. These are areas within a web page in which Liquid Content can be presented. It is therefore possible that different visitors looking at the same web page at the same time will be shown different content. One visitor, for example, will be shown a piece of text about product A, while another is watching a film clip about product B.
Because IQNOMY's platform continuously learns from every action that takes place on a website, the matching process is automatically improved after just a few clicks.
Real-time insight into visitor behavior
Because IQNOMY analyzes the behavioral data of every visitor in real time, the system enables anyone to monitor visitors to a website live. This can be done via the Real-time Desk within the application. Website owners therefore have a real-time insight into all the actions being carried out by an anonymous website visitor at a particular moment.
Real-time alerts
IQNOMY goes even further, however. As IQNOMY users have a real-time insight into the behavior of individual visitors, they are able to respond immediately to current situations. The system sends ‘alerts' that inform the user about the current situation on the website on an ongoing basis. IQNOMY issues an alert, for example, if a visitor represents a certain value or if certain content on the site is not being viewed sufficiently. Based on this up-to-date information an online marketer can then present specific content to specific visitors one-to-one, such as a personal offer or additional contact channels. Existing content on the site can also be adapted in real time and for each visitor. In this way website owners can provide visitors to their websites with a better service than was previously imaginable.
Beta version
IQNOMY’s Liquid Internet platform is currently in the beta phase. This means that the platform is only being used by a specific selection of test users. At the moment, fifteen companies, including a major Dutch bank and a well-known temporary employment organization, are thoroughly testing the platform.
From January 2011 IQNOMY’s Liquid Internet platform will be available to everyone as an S.a.a.S. (Software as a Service) solution.
