Australia introduces new pathway for immigration
Two new special visa agreements offering a pathway to permanent residency to immigrants who show an interest to move to regional areas was introduced by Mr David Coleman, Minister for Immigration, Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs
One scheme known as Designation Area Migration Agreements (DAMA) s was introduced for the - Warrnambool region in the province of Victoria and the Northern Territory. Both of these region are facing a serious labor shortage. The new agreement will enable employers in the region to hire skilled immigrant workers under the Temporary Skill Shortage visa (Subclass 482) and will also offer the visa holders a pathways to permanent residency.
