New user of the abas Business Software

Karlsruhe, January 16, 2007 - The Friedr. Gustav Theis Kaltwalzwerke GmbH will be working with the abas Business Software in the future.

The Theis group with worldwide plants in Europe, the US and Asia and over 1,300 employees is the leader in the cold roll industry. Since 1910 Theis' field of activity is steel. Due to its future-oriented company policy the group of companies ensures itself an excellent position on the market with an international high profile and technological leadership.
The product portfolio comprises among other things cold-rolled steel strips, refined steel strips, flat wires and profiles, as well as special packaging systems. The Theis products are used in various areas: automotive industry, medical engineering, electrics and electronics, chemical engineering, household appliances, and many more.
An important principle of the entire ERP project for Theis is to realize and depict perfectly working processes transparently using an ERP standard solution. The processes of the company should work fast and flexible in order to provide the best service to the customers.
Friedr. Gustav Theis Kaltwalzwerke GmbH has opted for the integrated business software abas ERP after creation of the process oriented requirements specification and an extensive analysis of the market. The business processes can be depicted continuously and can be updated flexibly in abas ERP. The evolutionary development of abas ERP, moreover, ensures future basic requirements.
At first, the location in Hagen will be connected to abas ERP. This will also be the signal for the international implementation of abas ERP in the entire group of companies.
