Niland Enterprise changes Focus

In 2007, James Niland launched nilandsplace.com, which sold everything we could get our hands on for drop shipping. This was an arduous task and did not do well. Recently within the last year, the company was re-branded “Niland's place Campsite” along with Niland's Place Hunting and exclusively expanded the product lines to include Camping goods, Hunting goods, outdoor gear. In this way we offer products we fully understand, and have a lifetime experience with. Today, nilandsplace.com’s inventory includes 2,000 SKUs and more than 30 brands, some of which are warehoused and some of which are drop shipped. The company is located in Laurinburg, North Carolina. Although camping equipment is a competitive market Niland's Place Campsite offers a 30 day satisfaction guaranty to improve customer confidence.
We are currently using Zen Cart shopping cart, which we have used from the beginning. However I was attracted to Magento commerce mostly for the shopping experience it provides for our customers. The design and usability of the cart software from a shopper's standpoint is excellent. Some of the other features I liked included single page management of all stores, SEO friendly design, good image display capabilities, guest checkout (which does not require the user to register prior to purchasing), and open source code. Migration to the new shopping cart solution will begin shortly for the camping goods and the hunting gear inventory is being input now.

We have eliminated our broad categories to a more specific focus. In this way we can invest in knowledge about customer’s interest. Or current focus is Camping, Hiking and Backpacking at Niland's Place Campsite. This is a Labor of Love and a fondness of camping, backpacking, hiking, and rock climbing. We are developing a knowledge base to improve your outdoor experience Our hunting gear is being uploaded at this time and should be ready by the end of September.
