Press release from: Synergy Homecare Twin Cities

Synergy HomeCare of Woodbury Minnesota to Benefit Family Caregivers
Woodbury, MN – 09/23/2010] - In Synergy HomeCare’s largest community outreach project to date “Arms Around Family Caregivers” seeks to honor family caregivers throughout the nation.
Family caregivers are held in high regard at Synergy HomeCare. Not only does this national franchisor provide a growing online resource database for family caregivers, but it maintains a policy to work around the schedule of a family caregiver to provide true respite care.
A family caregiver is anyone who supports the physical, mental or emotional needs of their family members or neighbors. Most often, family caregivers provide companionship, transportation and physical assistance to senior parents. However, following the war in Iraq, many family caregivers contribute to the well being of their veteran relatives. Those enduring cancer, Alzheimer’s disease or physical injury are also often under the care of a family caregiver.
This November, Synergy HomeCare will extend its first national outreach program, designed to directly support family caregivers and their loved ones. This project aims to build community and strengthen families. Synergy HomeCare wants to hear the stories of how family caregivers have changed the lives of their loved ones. By submitting the family caregiver story to the “Arms Around Family Caregivers” blog anyone can nominate family caregiver in their life for the “Pillar of Strength” Award, a national recognition of their selfless efforts, which includes 40 hours of respite care, provided by Synergy HomeCare.
Nominations will receive community support in the form of voting and commenting. The post with the most unique comments will receive the “Pillar of Strength” Award.
However, this is no prize-based competition. Each contributor to the blog will have the opportunity to participate in Synergy HomeCare’s Life Time Learning online education platform. This valuable tool allows family caregivers to learn more about their loved one’s condition gives them resources to more effectively help.
The “Arms Around Family Caregivers” blog will open for submissions on September 1, 2010, and will close the competition on November 30, 2010.
Synergy HomeCare of Woodbury encourages the local community to nominate and vote for the family caregiver in their lives. The Woodbury and surrounding area is home to many devoted family caregivers who deserve this honor.

We are a non-medical home care company that cares for all ages.
