CarDelMar Broadens Social Media Offensive
Hamburg, 22.09.2010. The car rental company CarDelMar has recently launched a large-scale social media campaign with the creation and development of their own pages on Facebook. By visiting www.facebook.com/cardelmar.co.uk or www.facebook.com/cardelmar.travel.agencies.uk, Facebook users can find up-to-date information on CarDelMar, competitions and useful tips and topics connected to the subject of car hire. In addition, attractive discount rates on holiday hire cars are available exclusively to Facebook users. Further activity on various other Web 2.0 channels is being planned and will soon follow.
“With our new pages on Facebook, we want to reach and interact directly with our customers,” explains Carsten Greiner, Managing Director of CarDelMar. “Our special offers have already been met with wide approval and we are proud to have acquired over 5000 Facebook users as Friends on our individual Facebook sites and in a total of 8 different markets.” On the basis of market analysis in the area of social media marketing, CarDelMar intends to branch out into additional channels. The launch for CarDelMar’s next social media activities should take place in the next few weeks.
The car hire broker, CarDelMar, has been offering affordable hire cars in all-inclusive packages to freedom-seeking holidaymakers since March 2005. The company works together with well-known international car hire companies such as Alamo, Avis and Europcar, as well as with local hire car suppliers.
