Allform Welding Open House

SEQUIM - Allform Welding Inc. is hosting an Open House on Saturday, October 2nd, 2010 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 81 Hooker Rd. #9, Sequim, WA.

Allform Welding is welcoming the public to tour their showroom and see the launch of the new line of Garden Art. Visitors will also see samples of their products, and have the opportunity to talk with the owner and staff. Special discounts will be offered for visitors. Hot dogs, hamburgers, and soda will be provided; and visitors will have the opportunity to register to win a valuable door prize.

Dan Donovan, the owner of Allform Welding Inc., has been in the welding field for over 30 years. Dan prides himself on his company's ability for providing customers with quality crafted work. From concept to reality, our skilled craftsmen will create custom furniture, railings, fencing, gates, and gate operating systems to meet your needs. Dan Donovan, President and Owner of Allform Welding Inc. has 30 years of experience in the welding/fabricating industry. Mr. Donovan became involved in the welding industry as a teenager. The skills necessary to be effective in this field dove-tailed easily with Mr. Donovan’s earlier employment as an automotive machinist and wire products manufacturing maintenance engineer. Dan took welding technology classes along with algebra, physics, and applied electronics. For five years, he worked at two small welding/fabricating businesses. For two of those years he was self-employed as an independent welding contractor.

Dan worked in the electronics industry as project coordinator/technical service representative for a firm building machines to handle and modify electronic components for the electronics and aerospace industries. He worked with special projects at firms such as Motorola, North American Rockwell, Fairchild Semi-Conductor and IBM. Two years later, Dan resigned and started the Dan Donovan Welding Company.

Mr. Donovan tested and became American Welding Society certified for several welding processes. He later tested and became a licensed structural steel welding contractor in the state of California. His “one-man band” was successful, grossing $94,103 in 1987, and since it was a strictly portable operation run from his house, the business net was $63,652.

In 1990, he moved back to the Pacific Northwest, and in June of 1991, opened Allform Welding Enterprises, renting 1,080 sq. ft. of shop space at its current location in Carlsborg, WA.

In 1993, the shop expanded to 1,994 sq. ft. and Dan carried on with his ‘one-man band’ until the end of 1996. Realizing that he could no longer be salesman, designer, fabricator, and bookkeeper, he hired his first employee. The company, still growing, expanded again into a 2520 sq. ft. shop and a 3000 sq. ft. fenced yard to add more work space. The company then took the next step and became incorporated in 1997.

After facing many hurdles and gaining much valuable experience about finding and keeping quality trustworthy employees, the company now employs two full-time welders, two estimator/draftsmen and an administrative assistant.
