Local artist seeks funding for exhibition project
St Ives, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom - September 20, 2010 – Local artist Nick Annies is actively seeking sponsorship from local businesses and organisations to fund an exhibition of artist’s work featured on his website ‘VectorFunk UK’.“Selling art and music online is something I have wanted to do for a long time.” says Nick. “The idea behind ‘VectorFunk UK’ is to provide a platform for both established and up-and-coming artists to sell their work online without the need to build and fund their own website”.
Nick started his working career in the visual arts in 1996, founding his own mural business with a grant from the Princes Trust. Formerly long-term unemployed, Nick became a Princes Trust success story, and now works in full time employment as a Marketing Project Developer.
“Although we live in an increasingly virtual world where more and more information is available via the web, I think that for art to work it has to be experienced in person – face to face. I want to showcase the work of our talented artists to people on the ground, to ‘real’ people.” says Nick. “I am looking to build a relationship with an open minded, forward thinking business or organisation that wants to reach out into the community by working with us on this exhibition project.”
Any business or organisation interested in working on this project can contact Nick via the VectorFunk UK website located at www.vectorfunk.co.uk or by email – nick@vectorfunk.co.uk
High resolution images of Nick Annies or any of the art featured on the website are available on request.
