Schoellershammer (pronounced Schoeller's hammer) is one of Europe's oldest family-owned paper mills, producing fine papers on the same location since 1784. The company's strong commitment to the environment includes a unique onsite water filtration system, which returns water used during manufacturing back to the Ruhr River cleaner than when it came into the paper mill. The mill also recycles more than 200 tons of paper per day and uses its own generating plant to produce its electricity.
