Coastal Cures: Coastal Concepts Gives Back

The team at Coastal Concepts consistently finds fun ways to give back to the community and enjoy supporting a great cause. This past May, they participated in the “Let’s Move Together" Arthritis Walk with the Arthritis Foundation.The Arthritis Walk is the signature event for the Arthritis Foundation to help raise funds to find a cure and increase awareness for various forms of arthritis affecting all age groups around the world. The North East chapter of the Arthritis Foundation held 2 walks in Rhode Island this year, raising over $35,000 and attracted over 200 walkers.

“Funds raised will help to support our programs and services and will hopefully inspire participants to continue with exercise and walking as a part of their daily routine” says Michele DiTraglia, Regional Development Director.

Coastal President, Kristen Balogh talks about a personal interest in the cause, “I have always thought of Arthritis as a disease that seems to come along with getting older. Recently my 12 year old cousin was diagnosed with a rare form of the disease and changed my view on the disease. Our team wants to be a part of anything we can do to raise awareness of just how serious this can be and how many people are affected by it.”

“Team Coastal Cures” is currently planning to participate in more events to support the Arthritis Foundation, including a Wiffle-Ball Tournament held annually in Providence.
