Linda Handley, Executive Director

Pittsburgh, PA – August 26, 2010 —

Linda Handley, recently named Executive Director of Women’s Small Business Association, (WSBA), went from working in a multi-billion dollar corporate business to owning her own small business. In the role of Executive Director, Handley will grow and strengthen the WSBA, developing supportive partnerships with area organizations that share the WSBA mission; creating new educational opportunities geared toward business improvement, and spearhead ongoing efforts to create a WSBA online community for peer-to-peer interaction and direct access to business related information.
Handley an award-winning business professional and author with a Masters degree from the University of Pittsburgh has been passionate in her mission to help others, often through unconventional means going beyond volunteering. Handley is also a dedicated member of the community, who has found many creative ways to help the causes in which she most believes, including donating the proceeds of her book, “Inspired Entrepreneurs”, to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

"The vision for our community is an environment where women grow in their field, support small business owners, and give back to their community. WSBA is a valuable resource for entrepreneurs. The organization has proven to be an amazing resource for our members,” says Handley.

“If you need to be encouraged, inspired, or energized; if you are starting your business or building your business; or if you just need to get out of your office and your own head for a while, this is a great group to network with and share a lunch!” says Stephanie Rexroth, Principal of On the Vine Creative.

Susan Miller founded the Women’s Small Business Association in 2007. In that time, she has grown the organization to a 725+ business collaborative in Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Blair, Washington, and Westmoreland Counties. As a true leader, Miller is aware of her strengths. She is the visionary. She is the builder of networks. She realizes these strengths and surrounds herself with other entrepreneurs that make the WSBA what it is today. For more information and details about upcoming events visit
