CES 2007: Infra-Com to Present Inventive Wireless Audio Surround Speakers
Netanya, Israel, January 3, 2007 -- Infra-Com Ltd., a global provider of wireless semiconductor ICs for short-range indoor communications based on the diffused infrared optical approach will present high quality wireless communication ICs for audio surround speakers and Apple iPod & MP3 Players Accessories in the upcoming International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas.Infra-Com plans to hold a special display at the Hilton Suites, demonstrating its innovative wireless chipset offering, presenting several inventive audio applications concepts and audio systems manufactured by third party OEMs and ODMs and based on its IrGT801A chipset family and the IrGate™ technological platform.
“One of the most interesting fields in the show this year is the home entertainment market, and specifically the MP3 players’ accessories audio market,” said Mr. Ami Herman, Infra-Com’s VP of Sales. “Our new chipset offering with advanced wireless capabilities and related features will support the enhancement of the consumer experience in the digital home environment.”
Infra-Com's proprietary Diffused Infrared (DIR™) IrGate technology allows for non-line-of sight and non-directional wireless infrared connectivity through reflections of optical beams from the ceiling, walls, and other enclosure surfaces. The technology promises a revolution in short-range wireless audio connectivity, as it offers an RF interference free, uncompressed, and very low latency wireless audio communication link.
