Cleveland Cavaliers 'score' with Policy Patrol for Exchange

The Cavaliers Operating Company deploys Policy Patrol Disclaimers

Los Altos, CA – December 14, 2006 – Red Earth Software, developer of email content security software, today announced that the Cavaliers Operating Company have deployed Policy Patrol Disclaimers for their 300 users on Microsoft Exchange Server. The ‘Cavs’ use Policy Patrol to add uniform and promotional email signatures and to add user-based legal disclaimers.

The Cavaliers Operating Company that operates and owns the Cleveland Cavaliers professional basketball team and the Quicken Loans Arena, selected Policy Patrol Disclaimers because of its ability to centrally add signatures at Exchange Server level and to automatically personalize each signature by making use of Active Directory merge fields. This means that the ‘Cavs’ only need to maintain one central signature and can easily include constantly changing information about upcoming events. In addition, the Cavs use Policy Patrol to add disclaimers for the legal department.

Since Policy Patrol Disclaimers allows us to make use of Active Directory merge fields, the administration effort is close to zero’ said Ed Kordel, Director of Information Technology at the Cavaliers Operating Company. ‘We simply created one signature that is automatically personalized for each user. News about upcoming events is communicated by an animated gif within the signature. Another neat feature is Policy Patrol’s ability to position signatures on replies and forwards after the last entered message text instead of at the bottom of the email’.
