Auxilia, Inc. announces agreement with Research Foundation of SUNY
Troy, NY January 2, 2007-- Auxilia Inc., a provider and manager of life cycle, training, and logistics support in the emerging unmanned systems (UMS) industry has announced the signing of a letter of intent with the Research Foundation of State University of New York (RF) that provides for review of joint interest areas of intellectual property and technology, primarily in the field of unmanned systems, being developed within the State University of New York (SUNY) system. The agreement extends to examination of potential licensing, patentability, and additional R&D aimed at commercializing technologies of mutual interest.The RF is a private, nonprofit educational corporation that was created in 1951 to support
research, education and public service at SUNY. The RF helps SUNY acquire, administer and manage external funds to advance research and education, and transfer technology from campuses to the marketplace. SUNY, via the RF, consistently ranks among the top American universities in terms of patent production and royalties received on inventions licensed to industry.
Guven Yalcintas, Vice President of Technology Transfer at the RF, said, “SUNY’s 2,675 faculty researchers include nationally and internationally recognized figures in all the major disciplines. We are delighted to work with Auxilia Inc. to further research and commercialize SUNY discoveries, innovations and materials for the public good.”
Donald A.
