Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems wins prestigious IBM award for innovation

Europe’s leading RFID supplier to the library market, Bibliotheca RFID Library Systems, is celebrating an award for innovation from IBM. The accolade recognises Bibliotheca’s outstanding business achievements in the field of self-service solutions.

Bibliotheca’s aim is for smarter libraries and it successfully launched a highly innovative solution featuring state-of-the-art RFID technology and a self-check solution on the IBM AnyPlace Kiosk. The IBM AnyPlace Kiosk forms the touch screen and integrated PC component in Bibliotheca’s SelfCheck range.

At the presentation in Hamburg, Germany, in July, Thomas Ehrle, Bibliotheca’s Head of Technology, received the Retail Store Solutions Innovation Award from Michael Dimde and Berthold Schneider, Head of Retail Store Solutions for Austria and Switzerland.
