ILSA RUSS Couture in Dressing Gowns – Luxury for the Senses

On 24-06-2010 the start up was given for an extraordinary collection and an innovative business idea.

For the first time the well-known Viennese Designer ILSA RUSS was presenting her brand-new collection: ILSA RUSS – Dressing Gowns, exclusive – sophisticated - glamorous to the public.

39 different styles of the current Ladies – Collection were introduced to a handpicked audience by a catwalk – show within an adequate ambience on the premises of a store specialised in premium bedroom furniture.

The beginning of the show was marked by a group of Dressing Gowns in mini-length with stylish lapel-collars. A burst of colors and bold prints – not shown before in any Dressing Gown designs – outlining a brand-new image to the topic “Dressing gowns” acted especially enchanting upon the fashion crowd.

Ancle-length versions of these styles added intoxicating glamour to the scenery.
Introducing a scene of “Pure Luxury” these styles are inclined to turn any woman into “A Star Of Her Private Stage“.

Even within the classical range of Kimono-Styles the designer ILSA RUSS headed to new style frontiers by showing an appealing array of colors and ornamental print-combinations highlighted by upper-range silk fabrics.

When it comes to dreaming of being a „Femme Fatale“ there’s no better way than slipping into a luxury-item in elegant ankle-length with shawl-collar to feel absolutly ladylike and „strictly upperclass“.

Selected Pareo-styles highlighted by vibrant prints created a lust for vaccation and made a fulminating close-up to the first part of the show.

Changing ambience to the more sensuous spirit of the collection was perfectly done by playing classical french chansons.

The models enjoyed swinging to flirtatious temper, inspiring the audience with styles created of soft and fluent silk-materials, embellished by delicate french lace around collars and decolletes.

A further step into the magic of seduction was pointed out by the following styles made of transparent materials.

The finale of the enthusiastically responded fashion-show was marked by a style in transparent lightweight-silk charmed by floral printing and lace.

The great number of interested people was more than apparent, when the collection was presented to have a close view and many of the guests couldn´t resist trying on some of their favorite styles.

“I want to open up the opportunity to any female – regardless of age or frame - to discover a brandnew self-awareness in wearing one of my dressing gown styles” ...that’s the message of my collection, says the designer ILSA RUSS.

With her dressing-gown collection made from exclusive silk materials produced in Italy, intricately crafted by hand ”Made in Germany”, ILSA RUSS fulfilled a long-preserved wish.

The idea to create dressing-gowns made from precious “Tessuti Alta Moda” materials, which other designers use to manufacture collections of evening dresses, is something ILSA RUSS finds “exiting and anew”.

The extraordinary print designs or the elegant unicoloured shades flatter the bearer and provide a feeling of sophisticated glamour.

If a woman decides on one of my dressing-gown - styles, she should feel in it like “a star on her own private stage” - thus the credo of the designer.

Therefore, the single exclusive styles are produced in limited numbers only.

They can be ordered by a "Made - to - order" service.

The Viennese designer ILSA RUSS previously has drawn attention of the Viennese art circles on her collection "DRESS ART".

Being in charge for the design of stage outfits in movies on the subject of "ballet" she could develop her idea of creating a symbiosis of "Dress" and "Art": "DRESS ART".

During several years in London she perfected her passion for ornamental shapes, working as a Jewellery Designer.

She designed and created singular pieces of jewellery for exclusive customers of selected Jewellery Manufacturers in London (Hatton Garden).

She was highly praised by her clients.

After years of being an independent creative artist, she wanted her designs to be published for a wider clientele and decided to work within the fashion industry in Germany.

This included positions within design, patternmaking and quality management for internationally known fashion companies.

With all the experience and driven by the desire to create new design concepts, the designer ILSA RUSS now dedicates herself to the topic “Dressing - gowns“: exclusive – sophisticated – glamorous.
