Press release from: The Law Office of James D. Scott

The Law Office of James D. Scott pledges annual support to art center with summer youth program

The Law Office of James D. Scott once again proudly supports The Latino Theater Company operating the Los Angeles Theatre Center. Ellen Scott, a spokesperson for the Law Office, expressed, “The LATC is a world-class art center operated by the Latino Theater Company. We support their mission, which includes the annual LATC Summer Youth Conservatory. The Conservatory is an opportunity for high school students to participate in a University-style program. The students have the opportunity to work with professionally trained directors, writers, actors, and scholars to learn about their work. The students create and produce their own work which results in a great show every summer. The Conservatory also helps the students develop skills to prepare for college and future careers."

The Latino Theater Company has provided 142 productions, many jobs, resources and over 3,000 free tickets to area students over its history, but it is currently facing a challenging time due to an unexpected decrease in funding.

The Law Office of James D. Scott recognizes the value of The Latino Theater Company’s role in supporting a wide diversity of artists. Furthermore, hundreds of underserved students have found opportunities with the Theater Company, learning the skills preparing them to be the next generation of artists.
