After some time was spared in rumors around companies like Apple, Huawei, ZTE; Samsung has finally announced the launch of first of its kinds foldable phone which is going to arrive sometime next year for sale. The dual-use phone is an eye-opener in this decade of mobile innovation where since few years companies including Motorola, Nokia, Google, Lenovo, etc had brought minor changes to design or UI effects. Introducing a unique model which resembles a normal mobile phone screen, amazingly open up to a tablet from a front screen. The announcement has created a wave of curiosity in the technology world. The Samsung’s soon-to-come foldable phone uses a new display technology called Infinity Flex Display that will let you open and close the device over and again without any degradation.

At the Android Developers Summit, Android extended its preparedness and support for this newly innovated foldable phone technology. Dave Burke, VP of Engineering, Android said that he expects to see foldable devices from several different Android manufacturers. He mentioned that it a big part to make screen continuity to work on foldable devices. Whereas the hardware is innovated, the internal software will need an upgraded User Interface and enhanced experience to fit in well with the extending screen.

Though the final product is still under creation and is expected to be sleeker, lighter and easy to handle and will have smaller bezels than the device which Samsung has recently demonstrated.
