New Delhi, 2nd July 2010: With global economy becoming increasingly reliant on Information and Communication Technology (ICT) for undertaking various businesses, Indian Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) too are expected to embrace the same in order to gain sustainable competitive advantage over stiff competition prevalent in overseas markets. Reemphasizing on the significance of Internet-based services for the SMEs, IndiaMART.com alongwith with Internet And Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) will be unveiling first-of-its-kind report on the matter at their much-awaited Conference on 'Free for SMEs' on 6th July, 2010 at India Habitat Centre, New Delhi. Prepared by CERG Advisory Private Limited, this report will enable better discernment on the growing necessity for Internet and its applications in SMEs' business functions and growth.

In addition, Federation of Indian Micro & Medium Enterprises (FISME) has decided to support the Conference recognizing the potential it holds for the SMEs. Not only this, the conference will witness various distinguished speakers sharing their knowledge on the role of ICT in enhancing efficiency of SMEs. Some of the eminent delegates who will delve on the subject include Mr. Anil Bharadwaj, Secretary General, FISME, Mr. Dinesh Agarwal, Founder & CEO, IndiaMART.com, Mr. Girish Joshi, Technology Advisor, Microsoft, Mr. Brijesh Agrawal, COO, IndiaMART.com, Mr. Namit Pandey, Head, Yahoo Small Business, Yahoo India, Mr. Bikky Khosla, CEO, Tradeindia.com and Mr. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, Founder & MD, One97 Communications among others.

They are a force to reckon with and thus, there is a huge requirement to integrate them in the mainstream alongside large corporate houses which can be established through the ICT adoption across their business functions. As always, IndiaMART.com has had pro-active approach towards bringing the best practices forward which aid in improving productivity of SMEs. Another step in this direction is the 'Free for SMEs' conference which will allow our patrons to gain enriching exposure towards the free and low-cost ICT tools and services readily available in the market. Further, I am sure that widespread usage of ICT by SMEs will help them propel to next level of growth and leave footprints on the global map."

Coming together of two well-known and well-established organizations – IndiaMART.com and IAMAI - yet again through this conference rightly justifies their roles as catalysts of SMEs' growth.
