Typing Bug Celebrating One Year of Administrative Support to Small Businesses

A year ago, Deneen Wilson set out on a mission to start a virtual assistant business to assist small business owners, non profits and solo entrepreneurs with their administrative needs. She has successfully accomplished that and more. With clients across the United States, she has been able to help a number of small businesses by offering administrative support. With today's Internet-based technology, helping a client in California is as easy as helping one across town.

Through hard work and capabilities, Wilson has made the “Typing Bug” reach many milestones along the way. As Wilson has moved into the success of her business, she has received awards that go beyond what was imagined in starting up a business. A few highlights were and still are the creation of her successful website that has won multiple awards for design and content; developed a successful newsletter, Typing Bug Gazette; winning the VAccolade Business Entrepreneur Award from VAnetworking; developing a radio commercial, and many more.

Wilson created a very creative website which includes informative articles and information with tidbits and tips relative to the success of a seasoned VA or a virtual assistant that is not really sure where to start. So in addition to all she has already achieved, the mentoring program began. Her mentoring program has had clients not only in the United States but also from Philippines, England and Australia. Wilson stated “the biggest difference with her mentoring program versus others is the method and length of time. “Most mentoring programs offer 30 minutes - 1 hour one-on-one telephone counseling session. Wilson's program offers unlimited email support for 30 days. The email format gives the participant time to carefully formulate exactly what he/she needs to know how to do. It also gives Wilson the time to equally formulate more descriptive options for solving the issue at hand.
