EuroDNS welcomes the .ASIA Internet TLD
.ASIA is a wonderful opportunity for the members of the Region to express themselves on the Internet. It is a natural fit for our AsiaDNS service. The level of interest from our users have been tremendous in the last few months and we are truly excited to move forward today, immediately following this milestone agreement for the Internet” commented Frederick Schiwek, VP Sales & Marketing of EuroDNS.com during the ICANN meeting.
Various discussions between DotASIA and EuroDNS have taken place over the last year, culminating with a conference supporting the TLD done by EuroDNS in the June edition of Domainfest Barcelona. With the official launch of .ASIA, both parties will continue their dialogue on Registration Policies and concentrate their marketing efforts.
Starting Monday 11th December, all Internet users interested in the .ASIA identity will be able to express their interest for any domain (ie: identity.Asia) by filling out a special form on the www.asiadns.com site. While this service cannot be a pre-registration until the actual .Asia rules are finalised, it is an increased chance for any potential domain registration to be considered and will allow DotAsia and EuroDNS to get a better feel of the market.
