Strategic partnership for Wi-Fi and HetNet/LTE-ready solutions: Softing IT Networks partners with iBwave Solutions Inc.

A new strategic partnership with iBwave Solutions Inc., a Canadian LTE and Wi-Fi solutions provider, complements the current Softing IT Networks product portfolio. As of now, the manufacturer of measurement technology for qualifying, certifying and documenting the performance of IT system cable installations also offers heterogeneous networks and (HetNet)/LTE-ready solutions. The special thing about this cooperation is that the focus is not only on Wi-Fi but also on LTE (4G/5G). The product suite extension through iBwave furthermore complements the acquisition of Mobile Virtual Network Operator Globalmatix AG by Softing AG in spring this year. As an exclusive distribution partner, Softing IT Networks from now exclusively markets all iBwave products in Germany, Austria, France and Switzerland.

The new partnership with iBwave extends Softing IT Networks’ business activities by Wi-Fi design, planning and maintenance (active/passive DAS, Small Cells, Public Safety). The company complements its product portfolio by heterogeneous networks and (HetNet)/LTE-ready solutions. The comprehensive product suite of the Canadian company iBwave empowers RF engineers, designers, project managers and other stakeholders to efficiently plan, design and deliver smart and fast indoor wireless networks. “iBwave is the driving force behind a smart building infrastructure that enables wireless access for end users and devices at numerous locations. Also for Softing IT Networks own product developments, Wi-Fi functionalities are taken into account. The NetXpert XG for instance is a modern high-speed qualifier for networks up to 10G. In addition to copper, fiber cable installations and ethernet test functions, it will also be able to perform a Wi-Fi access point and throughput test.

Mobile communication also at Softing AG
To strengthen its mobile communication activities, Softing AG closed the 100 percent acquisition of Globalmatix AG already in spring 2018. With the Mobile Virtual Network Operator Globalmatix, Softing offers mobile data communication for machine-to-machine (M2M) and Internet-of-Things applications for vehicles and machines worldwide. In this context, iBwave is the perfect addition to our existing portfolio.
