The client an online construction intelligence provider had a valuable source of construction market information. They wanted to launch a new setup aimed at improving user experience and data usability.
The challenge was to provide a single dash board for employees and clients, easy information access, smooth migration of existing data without any down time. To provide analysis that could generate business specific statistical data and help client to make business decisions.
We choose Microsoft.net 3.5 platform for working on this project that was geared towards improving user experience. The complete database was revamped.
We used Asp. Net 3.5, C#, Ajax and JavaScript, Microsoft Enterprise Library 3.0, Dev Express, MS SQL SERVER 2005 to deliver an application that provided a single application across enterprise. The new site featured quick search bar, key market indicators, an insight into latest sales leads, and latest research reports on the dashboard. The system also had secure payment gateway facility for online purchase of reports and services.
The researcher module has workflow based dashboards that provides automatic listing, escalation, alerts mechanism etc thus improving employee performance. Inbuilt CMS with version control and review mechanism was also the key feature of the system that aided in smooth management of this data driven system.
Overall the application offered a single access point, better control to employees, single point of information to customers, cut CSR time drastically and provided management with real time data for faster decision making.
