Gardere Partner Stephen Moll Named Editor-In-Chief of LexisNexis Texas Annotated Insurance Code

HOUSTON – Gardere Wynne Sewell LLP partner Stephen Moll has been named Editor-in-Chief of the LexisNexis Texas Annotated Insurance Code. Mr. Moll, a partner in the firm’s Trial section, has been a contributing editor to the publication for three years.

The Texas Annotated Insurance Code contains the complete insurance laws of Texas, featuring case annotations and expert commentary. As Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Moll will oversee the work of approximately 20 experienced insurance lawyers across the state of Texas who serve as contributing editors.

Mr. Moll co-chairs Gardere’s Policyholder Insurance Coverage Group, which recently surpassed the quarter billion dollar mark in net recoveries for its clients. His practice focuses on large property and business interruption claims, representing commercial policyholders in coverage disputes with their insurance carriers. He has successfully obtained net recoveries for his clients well in excess of $100 million.

As Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Moll will be paid a stipend by publisher LexisNexis, which Mr. Moll plans to donate to the Ben Love Memorial Scholarship Fund. The scholarship fund was set up by the State Bar of Texas’ Insurance Law Section to honor and memorialize Ben Love, a renowned insurance lawyer who died in 2004. The scholarship is presented annually to a deserving second- or third-year law student who has successfully completed the insurance law course and shows an interest in pursuing an insurance-related practice.
