Zeus extends Cloud reach to Japan
CAMBRIDGE, UK – 8 June 2010 – Zeus Technology, the only pure software-based application traffic management (application delivery controller) company, announces today that one of Japan’s leading Internet access and comprehensive network solutions providers, Internet Initiative Japan Inc. (IIJ), is implementing Zeus software within IIJ GIO, its new Cloud service.The partnership with enable IIJ to lease the Zeus Simple Load Balancer and the full features of Zeus Load Balancer to its customers as part of the IIJ GIO Cloud infrastructure. Zeus’ secure layer-7 load balancing and application acceleration solutions will be available on a flexible, pay-as-you-go, monthly license fee, enabling customers to control costs by paying only for what they use each month. Recommended and managed through Sumisho Computer Systems Corporation (SCS), Zeus was chosen over hardware-based alternatives because, as software, it is better suited to virtualized and Cloud environments.
Keisuke Taguchi, Manager of Application Service Section, IIJ, explains, “We’ve been looking to provide additional services, such as load balancing within our Cloud infrastructure. Zeus provides cost-effective enterprise-level solutions, so our customers will have the ability to dynamically scale up and down in real-time according to their individual needs.
