The Upanishadic seer prayed thousands of years ago: Tamaso ma jyotirgamaya - Lead me from darkness into light. That has always been the eternal prayer of man for knowledge and enlightenment to make life meaningful and purposeful. It is therefore very well that the Round Table movement has dedicated itself to the mission of promoting educational infrastructure, specifically for the underprivileged children. Good school education holds the key to the welfare of the future generations and the quality of the citizenry.

Today Round Table India Inaugrated Two Schools in Jaipur City, Seva Bharti with 6 Classrooms near Mahesh Nagar Jaipur and 300 Kids.

The Round Table in Jaipur has been collaborating with the NGO 'Vatsalya' , which has been operating in Achrol teshil of Jaipur district of Rajasthan, towards this end. Vatsalya had started a primary school on its own land in over a decade ago. The village is about 40 kms away from Jaipur.

Appreciating the initiative of Vatsalya to promote education of children of poor families, Jaipur Round Table offered its helping hand for improving the school infrastructure over eight years ago. Accordingly, four class rooms were got constructed by the Round Table in the year 2010. The additional class rooms fulfilled a pressing need of the school and helped it to enhance the number of classes and student enrollment.

The school has been growing from strength to strength and at present has classes up to the 8th. The total number of students is 150. The medium of instruction is Hindi. Apart from imparting the normal curriculum, the school is laying special emphasis on vocational training for skill development in different areas like block printing, tailoring etc.

Vatsalya has plans afoot for starting higher classes from 9th to 12th so that the students can study up to that level in their own village. Encouraged by the laudable performance of the school so far, the Round Table decided this year to assist the school with further infrastructure improvement. Two new class rooms have been got constructed at a cost of Rs 14 lakhs to enable Vatsalya to fructify it's plans.

The new class rooms have been inaugurated on 15th August 2018. Tabler Hussain Mustfa National Project Convenor was the chief guest at inaugural function. Several Round Tablers enthusiastically participated in this project and contributed significantly to its success. Mention may be made in this regard of Shri Gaurav Shah and Shri Sameer Bhagava .

The Vatsalya School has been receiving tremendous popular support in the village and is fulfilling a greatly felt need of the people. We in the Round Table can be truly proud of our meaningful contribution to the development of an educational facility in this rural hinterland.
