Instant School App & Lemon Pay Selected as Finalists at MTN App of the Year Awards 2018

We’re very excited to announce that two of our client’s apps – Instant School App & Lemon Pay – are selected as finalists for two categories – “Most Innovative Solution” & “Best South African App” respectively – at MTN App of the year awards 2018.

The MTN App of the year awards marks seventh annual hosting this year, with more and more startups signing up with their products. This awards event is hosted to promote innovative local solutions developed by local talent and celebrates the brilliant ideas of out-of-the-box thinkers who have been driving change in South Africa.

Instant School App is a SaaS company that aims to fill communication gap between school and parents. And just within 6 months, 10+ schools having 2000+ students have signed up.

Instant School App consists of helpful features such as report of bullying, real-time homework access, apply for leave, ask principle, push notifications for upcoming school events, and view report cards.

Lemon Pay is a payment application associated with Instant School App. Lemon Pay allows schools to collect fees seamlessly from Parents including school fees, school trips, concerts, uniforms, and stationary.

Schools can create an event from their admin panel of which the parents receive a push notification with all the event details shared by school. Parents can, then, choose to pay for their child using Lemon Pay.

The whole purpose of Lemon Pay was to eliminate the need to have the child carry cash and also ensure that cash not getting lost or used for other purposes by providing the convenience of paying online. Right now, Lemon Pay is currently used by 1000+ parents successfully and this number is growing far better than expected.
