Note Taking Application That Syncs With Google Docs: Data Synchronization Meets Cloud Computing with the Release of NoteSync Beta 1.1.0
Orem, Utah May 11, 2010 – Technology terms such as “cloud computing” and “data synchronization” are generating a lot of buzz in many tech savvy inner circles. NoteSync, a cross platform note taking software, merges the two technological principles to permit users to take text notes on their desktop and sync them to their Google Docs account.“Users can access their notes from anywhere thanks to the capability of syncing to Google Docs,” said Brady White, developer of NoteSync. “In a sense, Google Docs acts as a repository and backup medium for users’ notes.”
White began development on NoteSync late in December 2009. In March 2010, White released NoteSync Beta 1.0.1, a free beta version with limited features and capabilities. NoteSync Beta 1.1.0, also free under a public beta, was released today and includes over 20 new features and bug fixes. It is available for download at http://www.notesync.com.
White leveraged Adobe Air technology to enable NoteSync to be cross platform compatible, meaning Mac, Windows, and Linux users can install and use NoteSync.
The NoteSync Desktop application is set to be released later this month. NoteSync mobile applications for the iPhone and Android will be developed in the later part of the summer of 2010, literally permitting users to manage their notes from anywhere.
NoteSync is a small business that makes lightweight productivity software products. It believes in leveraging existing technology to bring the most value to users. NoteSync is currently focusing on building a software product suite around the NoteSync Desktop application. Mobile applications for iPhone, Android, and Palm will be developed soon to enable NoteSync users to manage and sync their notes everywhere.
