FOX18: Flexible power supply unit offers high efficiency

With the FOX18 FRIWO offers a powerful 18 W power supply. The FOX (FRIWO One-click X-change) product line includes output voltages of 5 - 48 VDC in the standard portfolio. Common features of all FOX units are the low power consumption at idling of ≤ 0.1 W and high efficiency in operation. For the FOX18 line it rates ≥ 82 %. Furthermore, the devices have a wide-range input of 90 to 264 VAC (50 to 60 Hz) and can be used within a temperature range of 0 to 50° C.

The FOX system stands for maximum flexibility: the corresponding adapter system currently includes over a dozen variants on the primary side. In addition to an IEC adapter and the usual standard adapters for Europe, USA, UK and Australia, primary adapters are also available for Argentina, Brazil, Korea, China and South Africa as well as for India in two- and three-pole versions. Particularly highlighted are the UK adapter, which complies with the stringent British standard 1363, and the special IPx2 versions of selected adapters. These allow all FOX systems an unusual IP protection against dripping water. In addition to the removable adapter system, the devices of the FOX family are also available with unexchangeable housing bottom.

Even more flexibility is provided by FRIWO's proven secondary plug system and the variable housing color: In addition to the standard portfolio's black and white housings standard, other customer-specific colors can also be provided.

The FOX line is available for both ITE and medical applications. The units of protection class II meet the requirements of 2xMOPP and have a minimum leakage current of ≤ 10 μA. At the same time, they comply with the US Department of Energy's (DOE Level 6) stricter environmental regulations and have been granted safety approval in accordance with IEC / EN / UL 60950 or IEC / EN / ANSI / AAMI ES60601
