How do you get your message out? Simple, with a small "alt tag". That is something all "html" pages should have to explain a graphic. That alt tag can also be hyper-linked directly to the advertiser's web page. That means the click is relevant.

The fun begins when advertisers are allowed to purchase ads "by the pixel", generally in some pre-determined square or rectangular size. This lets small advertisers compete with large ones for prime real estate on very high traffic pages. The alt tag length is generally standardized so each advertiser has the same message length.
Here are 3 tips which help you determine if pixel ads are right for you.
1. You have a limited budget. With pixel ads, you pay one time for a long-term pixel ad exposure.
2. The site you want to advertise will be around for a long time. Most pixel ad arrangements provide you at least 6 months or more exposure.
3. You are looking for additional traffic. Folks who see the entire pixel ad site may not all be in your target niche. However, when your graphic and message are compelling, you will gain traffic.
