Grow Your Own Cloud is a new service that helps you store your data nature’s way, in the DNA of plants, and bringing the latest in biotechnology, genetic science, and data artistry to your local flower shop.

On Sunday September 30th, during a 24h only pop-up at the well-known boutique, Blomsterskuret, in Copenhagen, Denmark visitors will be able to upload their data to a new type of cloud, one that is organic, rather than silicon, and emits oxygen rather than CO2.

We will take care of converting your file into DNA code, and sequence your data in DNA, ready for embedding the plants we have in stock. Our friendly in store service will help guide you through the process to ensure your data blooms and grows.

We are a collective of designers, artists, florists, scientists and bio-hackers, dedicated to developing truly green futures. This pop-up event is designed to inspire curiosity around the possibility of DNA and specifically plant-based data storage, a technique that holds great promise due to the unique data storage properties of DNA - the densest known storage medium in the universe.
