Torsten Zimmermann spoke at IBM/Rational convention

Torsten Zimmermann spoke in Duesseldorf at the IBM/Rational User Convention about "Test Framework Technologies".

Within Europe Torsten Zimmermann represents one of the test automation experts. He spoke about his special subject "Test Framework Technologies". Torsten Zimmermann conveyed the most vital relationships between engagement of test tools, test models and productive as well as efficient test operations to his interested audience. The credo of his speech outlined software testing costs money. But the invest would be payed off on a long run: Transparent processes, high quality concepts, sophisticated technical designs and better product quality of developed software would be the results. Significant changes would not be available within several months. In fact quality respective improvements would be noticeable after three up to five years.

In 1993 Torsten Zimmermann begun his career after successful pass of the business related computer science study at the University of Applied Sciences Karlsruhe. Since 1995 he dealed with the topics software quality and test management within international projects at (e.g.) BMW, DaimlerChysler, Hewlett-Packard, and Hoffmann-La Roche.

Besides of that he invented the risk based test approach released at the "QZ" magazine. Due to practical quality management work his conclusions lead to the T1 TFT (Test Framework Technologies), which initiates a new generation of test systems.

Today he focusses on quality issues related to ISO, VDA, and GxP fields. He develops new concepts for more powerful test frameworks. Within his university network new solutions will be developed in the area of rule and model based test systems.
