Industry Expert – Navneet Kapoor To Become First Indian, Awarded The Doctorate Of Philosophy

Adding another feather to India’s pride is Navneet Kapoor, Founder & CEO - Square Brand Communication Group. He has been awarded the Doctorate of Philosophy in Brand Management & Communication and Specialisation in Tourism Management by SORBON, French Institute of Higher Learning, France, for his constant contribution in tourism communication. This is the first time someone from the Indian advertising industry has received this honor in the tourism sector.

As an innovative strategist, he was the guiding force behind the phenomenal success of many national level campaigns for Himachal Tourism, Uttarakhand Tourism, ITDC and Assam Tourism. He roped in former Miss World and actress Priyanka Chopra as a face for ‘Awesome Assam’, a campaign to promote Assam on a global platform. He had conceptualized the promotion of Namami Brahamaputra event for Assam. A theme song dedicated to the beauty and might of River Brahmaputra, where the opening lines of the song were rendered by the legendary superstar Shri Amitabh Bachchan. The song was composed by famous music director Papon, written by National Award Winner Swanand Kirkire. And 20 leading Bollywood singers from Shaan, Kailash Kher, Shubha Mudgal to Sonu Nigam, Shreya Ghoshal and Shankar Mahadevan, many great singers of India rendered their voice to the song.
