The website has been re-launched with a vibrant new look and new content to represent the Leaseguard Specialist Approach to Insurance and provide visitors to the site with up-to-date information about Leaseguard Products and Services.

When looking for Specialist Buy-to-Let Insurance or Tenant Referencing the new site offers clear and simple information, easily navigated pages, and has quotation forms for Landlords Insurance, Tenants Contents Insurance and Rent Guarantee which can be submitted to the Specialist Insurance Team who will respond with a quotation.

Background to Leaseguard Ltd
We are a Scottish-based Risk Management Company based in Hamilton, South Lanarkshire. Our specialities lie in the buy-to-let sector and we offer a wide range of Products and Services for both Landlords and Tenants alike.
Leaseguard was set up in 1999 as part of the Arnott Northern Insurance Group. In 2002 a successful management buy-out was completed.

Clients include Private Landlords seeking Buildings & Contents Insurance cover for a single rented apartment, to major investors and companies, as well as high net worth individuals owning substantial residential portfolios. Tenants, from individual students to whole families, safeguard their possessions via Leaseguard’s Tenants Contents insurance policies.

Products:
Buildings & Contents Insurance
Insurance policies are sold to Landlords and Tenants who can obtain a quotation from the company’s website, directly via Leaseguard or from one of their numerous agents across the UK including Letting Agents, Property Management Agents, Insurance Brokers, Chartered Surveyors, Independent Financial Advisors, Solicitors, Landlord Associations Mortgage & IFA networks etc.

Products aimed at reducing risk for Landlords include Buildings Insurance and Contents Insurance. The Buildings Insurance covers Landlords automatically for Accidental Damage and Malicious Damage & Theft by Tenants up to £5,000 as well as up to £2 Million Property Owners Liability cover. Tenants can benefit from Contents and Personal Effects Insurance, again including Accidental Damage cover as standard, Tenants Liability cover up to £2,500 and up to £2 million Public Liability cover.

Rental Protection Guarantee with Legal Expenses:
One of the company’s most innovative products is its Rent Guarantee Policy. Where a tenant has defaulted on their rental payments or broken the Tenancy Agreement this product enables the landlord to gain lawful repossession of the property and will pay the landlords’ loss of rent for the first 12 months or until vacant possession has been obtained, whichever the soonest. Once the property is vacant, 50% of the monthly rent may be paid for up to a further two months. To qualify for the product, the landlord’s prospective tenant(s) must have successfully passed a Tenant Reference check.

Tenant Referencing
Leaseguard also provides a Tenant Referencing Service to Lettings Agents and Landlords who wish to vet Tenants prior to granting a tenancy. This includes examining the credit rating, bank status, employment status, affordability and previous landlord referencing of potential tenants.
