Addition to the familiy: Push button series extended by 3 new variant types

MENTOR Push button series 1254

MENTOR Push button series 1254

MENTOR has added three new SMD push buttons of the 1254 series to its push button range. The push buttons can be combined perfectly with MENTOR’s series 2271 illuminated push button caps, which were introduced just recently.

The push buttons’ carcass dimensions are 6 mm x 6 mm and their total height is 7.3 mm. MENTOR provides the push buttons with an actuation force of 1.6 N, 2.6 N, 3.2 N and 5.2 N. In this way, it is possible to select the tactile sensitivity individually according to the kind of application. Depending on the variant type up to 1 million switching cycles can be realized and the push buttons are suitable for a temperature range of -25°C to +70°C.

For the assembly of individual short stroke buttons, especially below control foils, the push buttons can be combined with MENTOR’s new push button caps. The push buttons caps are simply fit on the push buttons and arranged in any form on the circuit card.

The SMD push buttons are available on spools packed with 700 apiece for automatic equipment. MENTOR’s push button range is naturally solderable lead-free according to the RoHS regulations.

As an internationally successful corporate group, MENTOR has been setting standards in the technical development and implementation of mechanical, electronic and optoelectronic components for diverse areas of application in industry for decades. In this way new developments have become standard products and, true to the corporate philosophy of “Innovations for the Future”, even today we continue to shape the products of tomorrow.
