Media award 2010 for pedagogic valuable movies

“Special pedagogic award” of the KdL goes to three movies in 2010, application of the material in all ranges of the educational work, national film services takes over distribution

The media award 2010 – distributed by the Conference of National film service (KdL) – share three winners this year. Within the scope of the film competition "The Golden City-Gate", on the stage of the ITB Cinema during the international tourism fair on the 11th of March were honoured:

“Each seventh human“
(client: Federal Ministry for economic cooperation and development)

“SOS Children’s village Berlin Moabit“
(client: SOS Kinderdorf registered association)

“HOME“
(client: Federal Ministry for environment, nature protection and reactor safety)

The KdL assigns its “media award“ already for the third time and wants to bring thereby education-, documentary- and information movies into the focus of the public perception that are suitable in an outstanding way for the application for the curricular and extra-curricular youth and adult education.
“The media award“ is therefore written out as “special pedagogic award“.

Sighted and evaluated are current films which are supposed to be taken into the offer of the national film and national media services by media-educational advisor circle of the KdL. Standards in the evaluation is thereby above all the cinematic target group-fair dissolution of complex features from all social ranges.

Heinz Joachim Herrmann, Federal business manager of the KdL: “I congratulate the winners and clients of productions to this success. “The media award” of the KdL reflects accurately our self understanding as KdL and our statutory tasks: To be the transmission belt of relevant information on behalf from film givers, to offer orientation in the information and media culture and to support all in the education transacting people by attractive film offers within their work. “

All honoured films are immediately available over the rental service offer of the national film and national media services in the Federal states as well as on-line Stream/video on demand in the Internet offer of the KdL without charge.
