'Sit Means Sit' dog trainers gather under one 'woof'

Renowned dog trainer Fred Hassen hosts the ‘Sit Means Sit’ Annual Alumni Weekend on November 17-19th, bringing together owners and staff from the ‘Sit Means Sit’ locations throughout North America

Las Vegas, NV – October 25, 2006 – The trainers from Fred Hassen’s ‘Sit Means Sit’ know what it takes to transform your mischievous mutt from disobedient dog into proper pooch; and their upcoming alumni weekend will bring together some of the most talented dog trainers from the US and Canada to Las Vegas on November 17-19th . In the past year alone, an impressive 12 new ‘Sit Means Sit’ locations have opened throughout North America, causing tails to wag in the dog training industry. The ‘Sit Means Sit’ approach builds confidence, excitement and independence through a safe and effective remote collar method, and these successful trainers will have the opportunity to network and learn even more useful procedures during their reunion weekend.

This upcoming alumni weekend spotlights key techniques and helpful tips for integrating the ‘Sit Means Sit’ system paws-on for dog trainers and entrepreneurs, including the following informational session topics and demonstrations:

• Working with Shelter Dogs: Tips and Techniques
• Internet Marketing
• The Demonstration and Closing Sales
• Retrieval Training
• Dog Aggression/People Aggression
• Agility and Tricks
• ‘Sit Means Sit’ Dog Challenge

Hassen’s ‘Sit Means Sit’ consists of a variety of dog trainers including police K9 officers, Search-and-Rescue trainers, and every other sort of dog trainer imaginable ranging from the basic pet dog training, all the way to trainers successful at National Championship placings in the dog world. In preparing their trainers, ‘Sit Means Sit’ employs a studied, tested, and proven specialized language that offers individualized personal instruction fitting specific needs for each dog. It is immediately communicated to the dog in a non-confrontational manner through the use of remote dog collars.

"Technology has improved so much over the years that it will be virtually impossible for a traditional trainer to match the performance and great attitudes of the dogs that a remote trainer will be able to give the clients, and the ease of it's transfer to the owner, that the whole industry will continue to swing in this direction,” said ‘Sit Means Sit’ creator and the world’s leader in remote dog training, Fred Hassen. “The most important thing about successful dog training is the dog's attitude: it is a universal language. Even a second grader can tell a bad attitude on a dog, and it's the dog's great attitudes that have been paramount to our success.”
