The 24th International Conference on Magnetically Levitated Systems and Linear Drives MAGLEV 2018
Conference participants
On the first day of the conference 174 representatives of the Russian Federation, 110 people from 22 countries of the world (China, France, Germany, Italy, the Republic of Korea, USA and etc.) participated in the conference from leading engineering, electrical, transport, logistics companies, major research centers and universities.
Greetings addressed to the conference were sent by the Director of the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation Alexander Bortnikov, Deputy Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Alan Lushnikov, Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Leningrad Oblast Sergey Bebenin, President of the Russian Academy of Sciences Alexander Sergeev.
The conference was opened in the historic Great Physics Auditorium of the PGUPS by the Governor of St. Petersburg Georgy Poltavchenko, who noted the symbolism of holding such an important scientific event considering the most promising type of transport in the first transport university of Russia in St. Petersburg and expressed his confidence that the forum participants will make a contribution to the development of advanced transport technologies.
The participants received greetings from the head of the Federal Agency for Railway Transport Vladimir Chepets, the rector of the PGUPS Alexander Panychev, the Honorary Research Advisor of the Scientific Research Institute of Physical Equipment named after D.V. Efremov, the Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vasily Glukhikh.
On the same day were held plenary sessions, where representatives of China, Germany, Japan, Russia, the United States and other countries made scientific reports.
The conference continues its work.
